Go inside, find a light

In the depths of the night, As we close our eyes tight, Sad dreams come creeping in, Taking us on a journey within. We see familiar faces, But in strange, haunting places, The colors are muted and dim, And everything is twisted and grim. Our hearts start to ache, As we realize it's all fake, But still we can't help but weep, As we plunge into the memories deep. The sadness takes hold, And we feel so alone and cold, As we relive old pain and regret, And wish we could just forget. But even as we cry, We know deep down inside, That these dreams have a purpose, To help us heal and surface. So let the tears fall, And embrace it all, For even in the darkest of nights, We can find a glimmer of light.
